Installation of Classic Menu Indicator on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal / Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot.

Classic menu indicator is an applet for Unity, This applet provides the main menu of Gnome/Gnome2 Classic.If you're face sometime problem with unity launcher then you can use this, Or instead of using the unity launcher you can open programs easily from this classic menu.

To install this Classic Menu applet open Terminal (press Alt+F2 then type: gnome-terminal) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:





when installation complete logout and login back, you will see the icon of Classic menu indicator in the Unity bar, Click on the icon and list will be pop-down.

Change or Customize login screen on Ubuntu 11.04
Changing your login screen works the same as last Version of Ubuntu 10.10.

To enable the Appearance manager at login open terminal (Alt+F2 then type: gnome-terminal) and copy the following command in the terminal window:




Now close the Terminal and Logout from user, When logged out completed after that Appearance window will appears to you. Here you can change/customize what you want and when you customization complete then you can login as usual.

Next step is: To prevent the Appearance manager from open when you login, Again open terminal(Alt+F2 then type: gnome-terminal) and copy the following line in terminal:
