Nvidia Drivers Collection for Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal/Ubuntu 12.04 Precise/Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric/Ubuntu 11.04 Natty/Ubuntu 10.04/Linux Mint 13/12/11/10/9
Nvidia Ubuntu
Many people are facing problem with Nvidia latest drivers, Users usually asked here about their problems. NoobsLab is not Nvidia driver developer at all but NoobsLab can do some favor of users. NoobsLab decided to provide some previous Nvidia drivers versions with easy installation. As you know Nvidia is popular brand in market but it can't provide compatible drivers for Linux. NoobsLab collected all drivers from launchpad archives. As I know following drivers doesn't not support Nvidia optimus Technology, For Nvidia Optimus check hereubuntu-x-swat/x-updates only provide latest drivers so it will be helpful for those users who got working old drivers.

1: Nvidia 275.09.07 for Oneiric/Mint 12

Nvidia linux

To install Nvidia 275.09.07 version Drivers on Ubuntu 11.10/Linux Mint 12 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
>> For 32bit - i386

>> For 64bit - amd64


2: Nvidia 280.13 for Oneiric/Mint 12

To install Nvidia 280.13 version Drivers on Ubuntu 11.10/Linux Mint 12 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
>> For 32bit - i386

>> For 64bit - amd64


3: Nvidia 295.33 for Precise/Mint 13

To install Nvidia 295.33 version Drivers on Ubuntu 12.04/Linux Mint 13 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
>> For 32bit - i386

>> For 64bit - amd64


4: Nvidia 295.40 for Precise/Mint 13/Quantal

To install Nvidia 295.40 version Drivers on Ubuntu 12.04/Linux Mint 13/Ubuntu 12.10 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:

5: Nvidia 295.53 for Precise/Mint 13/Quantal

6: Nvidia 302.17 for Precise/Mint 13

To install Nvidia 302.17 version Drivers on Ubuntu 12.04/Linux Mint 13 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
>> For 32bit - i386

>> For 64bit - amd64


7: Nvidia Cuda 295.41 Developer Drivers for Precise/Mint 13/Oneiric/Quantal
Be-careful about these drivers

Nvidia

To install Nvidia Cuda 295.41 Drivers on Ubuntu 12.10/12.04/11.10/Linux Mint 13/12 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:

Now Enter following command to open file in text editor:

Now add following lines to the end of the file:
blacklist amd76x_edac
blacklist vga16fb
blacklist nouveau
blacklist rivafb
blacklist nvidiafb
blacklist rivatv
Now enter following command to remove your nvidia drivers (If you don't have just skip this command)

Now when your Ubuntu start
->Press Ctrl+Alt+F1 at login screen (you don't need to login), Now log in in text mode.
Enter following command to stop service:

Now start installation:
>> For 32bit - i386

>> For 64bit - amd64


8: Nvidia Latest Drivers for Ubuntu 12.04/11.10/11.04/10.04/Mint 13/12/11/9

These drivers are available by ubuntu-x-swat team, Their drivers are up-to-date and support new GPU's. Following commands will install most latest version of Nvidia drivers for Ubuntu/Mint.

To install Nvidia Latest Drivers in Ubuntu/Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:


9: Nvidia Bumblebee Drivers for Ubuntu 12.04/11.10/11.04/10.04/Mint 13/12/11/10/9
Bumblebee claims their drivers support to Nvidia Optimus Technology. They also claims these are stable drivers for Nvidia optimus technology.
To install Bumblebee Latest Drivers in Ubuntu/Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:


10: Uninstallation of Nvidia Drivers
If your OS is messed up with drivers then I have solution for you. You can fix with following instructions:

1-> Boot into recovery mode
If you don't have recovery option just hold "Shift" before boot and choose recovery option
2-> Now in following menu choose "netroot"
3-> Now uninstall nvidia drivers

or if you've installed bumblebee

4-> Now remove xorg configuration:

5-> Now Reinstall the Mesa package for GL:

6-> Now reboot
That's it
