Clarity icon theme is vector icons theme designed to use with GTK. It can be used with most of the Linux desktop environments like Gnome, Unity, Xfce, KDE, Lxde, Mate, Cinnamon, and others. If you are using distribution other than Ubuntu and Linux Mint it also offers logos for some other distributions: Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Debian, openSUSE, Fedora, Gentoo, Arch, Zenwalk, Mandriva and Linux Mint. There are seven predefined themes: caeruleus - blue gradient, lux_caeruleus - glossy variant, canus - grey gradient(default), dark_canus - dark grey gradient (for light themes), luteus - orange gradient, violaceus - violet/pink gradient, lux_violaceus - glossy variant, viridis - green gradient. This icon theme also has the PPA but for some reason customization for this theme doesn't work using PPA installation, that's why we are going to use other method which can be used across all Linux distributions. If you encounter any kind of bug or issue within this theme then report it to creator via linked page. You can use Unity Tweak ToolGnome-tweak-tool.
Clarity icons are light, modern & beautiful icon theme. It is based on famous Aw0ken and Token icon themes, lots of shapes and basic color pallete was taken from these icons. Creator also used some shapes from OpenClipart, Wikipedia, Humanity icon theme and ACYL icon theme. Most of other icons are also designed by simplifying existed icons/logos. Mostly icons are in monoshape, but some icons also have additional elements. This icon theme has 8 templates to build different colors icons, so I created all those colors and uploaded to our PPA, further more if you want different color then you can download and follow instructions to create your own customized color icon set. The eight variants available are as follows: violaceus (violet/pink gradient), lux_violaceus (glossy), canus (grey gradient), dark_canus (dark grey gradient), caeruleus (blue gradient), lux_caeruleus (glossy), viridis (green gradient), and luteus (orange gradient). This icon theme is compatible with Unity, Gnome, Xfce, Mate, etc. In following screenshots Ambiance Blackout and Flat were used.
