Numix project offers high quality gtk theme and icons for Linux desktop. Numix gtk theme is a modern flat theme with a combination of light and dark elements. The theme is compatible with most of the desktop environments such as Gnome, Unity, Cinnamon, Xfce, Mate and others.
Numix icons has three variants which includes original version, circle version is circle shaped applications icons, and square variant has square shaped application icons, for both versions the folders are same as original version, icons utilizes the use of inset and drop-shadows and subtle gradients.
If you find any issue with Gtk theme or any missing icons in the icon theme then report it to creator and hopefully it will get fixed soon.

As you may have tried many icons and you may know we host large number of icons which are available through our PPA to make installation simple and hassle free. Numix White icon theme is based on Numix circle icons but white version. It can work with any kind of theme but as tested it fits best with dark themes because with light/white color themes you may find it irritating to your eyes.
This icon theme is compatible with most of the desktop environments such as Unity, Gnome, Xfce, Cinnamon, Mate and so, it contains more than 4000 icons. It is in active development which means if you find any missing icon or problem with this icon set then you can report it via linked page and hopefully it will be fixed in the next update. United Gnome theme used in the following screenshots and you can use Unity Tweak ToolGnome-tweak-tool to change icons.
Vimix icon set is elegant, modern, lightweight designed for Linux desktop. It offers flat type style with a minimal use of shadows for depth. This icon theme is based on two icon sets are Numix Circle and Paper icons by snwh. Since this icon theme based on two icon sets, the creator recommends that install those icons as well to get enhanced and greater experience. Vimix icons offers two panel theme so if you are using dark theme then you can select Vimix dark and if you are using light theme then you can select light version. It is compatible with most of the Linux desktop environments such as Unity, Gnome, Cinnamon, Mate, Lxde, and others. For this icon theme most of the application icons available, still if you found any missing icon or bug in this set then report it. Ambiance Blackout Colors theme used in following screenshots. Numix is popular theme created by satya, Numix Bluish is moded version of Numix GTK3 theme. It is kind of flat theme with the combination of dark and light elements, it supports Gtk 2/Gtk 3, Xfce, Unity, Openbox, and it also works well in Gnome Shell/Gnome Classic/Mate. Numix theme is designed by satya164 for GTK, It is kind of flat theme with the combination of dark and light elements. It works perfect with all current GTK versions 3.10/3.8/3.6/3.4, and it support Unity, Gnome, Openbox and also has XFCE theme.
Numix cinnamon theme is inspired by GTK version and it looks same like GTK. Numix cinnamon has two versions, one for bottom panel and other for Top Panel, You can change as per your requirement. It is compatible with all Cinnamon versions.

Each variant contains approximately 700+ icons, all of them are under development and creators release update on weekly basis with new icons, which means you can suggest icons to creators. Numix-UTouch-Style is icon pack heavily influenced by the Ubuntu touch style, hence the super rounded corners background with the triangles texture on it. The inside of the icon has the symbol itself represented by pure white pictogram. This icon set is reached to version 0.4 added new icons and many other refinements. Numix-uTouch is still in development process for 13.10 saucy. Also check icons collection.
