Kdenlive is a free open-source video editor for GNU/Linux and FreeBSD, which supports DV, AVCHD and HDV editing. Kdenlive relies on several other open source projects, such as FFmpeg, the MLT video framework and Frei0r effects.

  • Move multiple items

  • Select custom background clip for positioning and better contrast
6 bugs fixed in Kdenlive 0.9.2:
  • Fade in, Fade out and Fade from/to black are not working sometimes
  • Vignetting effect has stopped functioning.
  • The settings of some effects are setting to zero
  • Titles using composite are invisible in the movie exported.
  • crash when i choose: "Acquisition d'animation image par image"
  • Add Slideshow Clip creates an unusable clip of length 8 min 20 sec

To install Kdenlive in Ubuntu/Linux Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the terminal:
