Cool-retro-term is a free terminal emulator developed by Filippo Scognamiglio, it mimics the look and feel of the old cathode tube screens. If you are tired of your current terminal than it comes in hand as eye-candy, it is customizable and reasonably lightweight terminal emulator. It uses the Konsole engine which is powerful and mature, it requires Qt 5.2 or higher to run terminal emulator.
It has pre-configured templates so you can use them with just one click, profiles includes: Amber, Green, Scanlines, Pixelated, Apple ][, Vintage, IBM Dos, IBM 3287, and Transparent Green. Further more you can create your own profile and use it.
It's preferences offers a lot of customization: you can adjust brightness, contrast, and opacity; font; font scaling and width; cool effects for terminal; and you can control FPS, texture quality, scanlines quality, and bloom quality. Further more you can dive into settings to change colors, shadows etc.

Professional may find it useful and very handy with a lot of features. It is default terminal in Linux Deepin distribution and it has features like vertical and horizontal terminal split, terminal workspace switcher, transparent background with adjustment or background image, ssh connection, font resizing, hot keys (changeable), quick access to important option by right click menu, fullscreen, search and etc... Deepin Terminal also has several skins you can choose from or you may add your own skin.

Install Nautilus-Terminal Plugin in Ubuntu 12.10/12.04/11.10/11.04/10.10/10.04/9.10/ Linux Mint 14/13/12/11/10/9/8/ and Other Ubuntu Based Distributions

Nautilus Terminal is a plugin for Nautilus, it always open terminal in Nautilus at current folder, and follows the navigation (like an automated "cd" command). This plugin also supports drag and drop folders and files.
It is possible to hide and show terminal via this shortcut - F4
If you don't want to install this plugin, there is alternative for you called Sunflower. Sunflower is twin-panel file manager.

To install Nautilus-Terminal in Ubuntu/Linux Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
