Install XBMC on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal/Linux Mint using latest PPA

In our older Post we showed how to install XBMC on Ubuntu 11.04/Ubuntu 11.10/Linux Mint. But now a new unstable PPA has been released by XBMC team. So now it's easy to install.

To install XBMC Media Center open Terminal (Press Alt+F2 and type: gnome-terminal -or- Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the terminal:





When installation finished start XBMC Media Center and Enjoy.

Install XBMC on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal or Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot or Linux Mint
XBMC doesn't work well on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal because there is no stable ppa yet for Ubuntu Natty Narwhal. But there is a solution for this you can install XBMC using the ppa of Ubuntu 10.10 and change the distribution from Natty to Maverick.

Open terminal and enter the following commands:





Now start XBMC (Press Alt+F2 and type: xbmc)
Enjoy.
