xbmc on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneric Ocelot
Install XBMC using medibuntu repository packages, the ubuntu restricted extras and xbmc on Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric ocelot.
You need to install xbmc from script because there are PPA's available for installation of XBMC on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot/Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin/Ubuntu 11.04/10.10/10.04/9.10/9.04/8.04/Linux Mint 12/Linux Mint 13.

When installing XBMC it also install the medibuntu packages and Ubuntu restricted extras.

>> Method 1 to Install XBMC on Ubuntu 11.10:

To Install in Ubuntu 11.10/Linux Mint 12 open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:








Now adding maverick ppa and installing XBMC enter following commands in Terminal:








>> Method 2 to Install XBMC on Ubuntu 11.10/Ubuntu 11.04/10.10/10.04/9.10/9.04/8.04:

To install XBMC on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal: (You don't need to enter all PPA's)

Then install

To install XBMC Dharma 11.0 PRE (unstable)

Then Install

When installation finished close terminal and start XBMC. Enjoy
