Nitrux icon set is very minimal, clean and simple, and very famous among Linux user, it is designed to make Linux GUI prettier. The initial release of this icon set was in 2012, at that time it had different flavors but with time creator of Nitrux realize that one theme with better work would be great. So now Nitrux only offer one flavor which can be used in any Linux desktop such as Unity, Gnome Shell, Gnome Classic, KDE, Lxde, Xfce, Mate, Cinnamon and others. It can work with light and dark themes but in unity you can't use it with dark theme because panel icons are dark and you won't be able to see any icon on the panel with this icon theme. This icon set contains 8400+ icons and has different version for KDE desktop.
Most of the application icons available within this icon theme but if you still found any missing icon or bug in this set then report it to creator. Radiance colors, and Ambiance-blackout-colors themes used in following screenshots. You can use Unity Tweak ToolGnome-tweak-tool or Ubuntu-Tweak to change themes/icons.

To install Nitrux icons in Ubuntu/Linux Mint via PPA open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:


Install Nitrux icons for all Linux desktops (Unity, Gnome, Xfce, Cinnamon, etc.) except KDE:

For KDE desktop install Nitrux icons with this command:
