Installation of Awoken icon theme 2.2 on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal/Linux Mint/Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot
AwOken, an amazing Gnome (works great with both Gnome 2 and Gnome 3) icon theme was updated yesterday, getting support for Gnome Shell tray icons. The new version (2.2) also comes with fully revamped audio, network, battery and arrow icons as well as 371 new small size icons and some new/revamped icons.
AwOken comes with an Ubuntu PPA, but the latest version hasn't been uploaded to the PPA yet. Update: the latest AwOken is available in the PPA for Ubuntu 10.04, 10.10 and 11.04 - add the PPA and install it.
To install Awoken icon theme 2.2 in Ubuntu/Linux Mint open Terminal (Press Alt+F2 and type:gnome-terminal -or- Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the terminal:
