Wine is a software which allows to run Windows Software on different operating systems like (Linux, Sun Solaris, FreeBSD, Mac OS X).
With Wine Software you can install and run applications of Windows just like you can run on Windows. But not every program works, however there are already several million people using Wine to run Windows software on  other OS's. Wine is still under active development and releasing Wine versions time to time.

Now to install the Wine Software open terminal (Alt+F2 then type: gnome-terminal) and copy the following commands in the terminal:

If you're in Ubuntu you can install graphically from (Ubuntu software center) or (Synaptic Manager).
