Install 7zip Archive in Ubuntu/Linux Mint

7-Zip is a file achieve application which has ability to archives file with very high compression ratios, 7-zip was that originally design for windows but you can use it in Ubuntu now, 7zip also have own achieve format that known as 7z.

p7zip is the Unix command-line port of 7-Zip, p7zip-full provides utilities to pack and unpack 7z archives within a shell or using a GUI through nautilus. p7zip support following archive format :

Packing / Unpacking : 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, XZ and TAR

Unpacking only : APM, ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DEB, DMG, FAT, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, LZMA2, MBR, MSI, MSLZ, NSIS, NTFS, RPM, SquashFS, UDF, VHD, WIM, XAR and Z.


To Install 7-Zip in Ubuntu open Terminal and copy the following commands in the Terminal:
