Most awaiting release Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr LTS is arrived, Ubuntu team is heading towards great way and has done really great work, unlike previous releases this release got many new features and improvements. Unity 7 is much faster, responsive and a lot of things further you can see the release post of Ubuntu 14.04. After digging in this version I was wondering what tweaks/things a normal user should do with this release and make it much better than any other OS available out there. All tweaks are tested by NoobsLab, so hopefully you won't get any problem with them and if you encounter any problem feel free to ask. Lets start .....
Ubuntu 14.10 is released today, I was wondering what to tweak in this release and this time there aren't different tweaks for this release 14.10 than previous 14.04 Trusty. So you guys can continue following these tweaks for Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn. For some tweaks it is written "Only for 14.04 Trusty" these won't work in 14.10 Utopic as I tested.

Ubuntu team announced the availability of the final release of Ubuntu 14.10 and all other derivatives, Ubuntu Mate is not official derivative yet: The final release of Ubuntu 14.10 Desktop, Server, Cloud, and Core products. This release includes images from not only the Ubuntu Desktop, Server, Cloud, and Core products, but also the Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu flavours. Utopic final includes updated versions of most of our core set of packages, including a current 3.16.x Linux kernel, AppArmor improvements, oxide, and many more.
New fixes and features for Unity desktop, Firefox is updated to version 33 and Chromium is updated to version 38. Gtk updated to version 3.12. Qt updated to version 5.3. Other apps LibreOffice 4.3.2.2; Thunderbird 33; Nautilus 3.10; Evince 3.14; Rhythmbox 3.0.3; Unity 7.3.1. Support for IPP Everywhere printers is added, and printers shared from Ubuntu can emulate IPP Everywhere printers. IPP printers require no configuration under Ubuntu. LibreOffice 4.3 brings a lot of improvements including improved PDF support, new features in Writer, Calc and Impress (word processor, spreadsheet and presentations). With Xorg 1.16, we have better support for non-pci devices. Xephyr now supports DRI3. The mesa 10.3 update has support for AMD Hawaii GPU's, improved support for dri3 offloading, the freedreno open source driver, and preliminary support for using nouveau on maxwell devices.
Codenamed "Utopic Unicorn", 14.10 continues Ubuntu's proud tradition of integrating the latest and greatest open source technologies into a high-quality, easy-to-use Linux distribution. The team has been hard at work through this cycle, introducing new features and fixing bugs.

Budgie is default desktop environment of the Evolve OS Linux distribution, and it is Evolve OS project. Budgie desktop is designed for modern user, it focuses on minimal, elegance, and simple desktop. The main point of this Budgie desktop is that it's not forked from any other project but rather one written from scratch with integration in mind, using GTK and either Vala or C.
The Budgie Desktop tightly integrates with the GNOME stack, employing underlying technologies to offer an alternative desktop experience. In the spirit of open source, the project is compatible with and available for other Linux distributions. Also note that Budgie can now emulate the look and feel of the GNOME 2 desktop, optionally, via a setting in the panel preferences. Hackstation is theme pack released for Linux desktop, it contains HackStation theme which is based on boje-red and Ghost-Flat icons which are made using ACYL. It give dark, red, and white flavor to the desktop, many users always look for dark theme with good combination and I can say it looks perfect. HackStation theme is compatible with GTK3/2 and available for following desktops: Unity, Gnome Shell, Gnome Classic, Mate, Cinnamon, and OpenBox. HackStation pack tested under Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty and works also fine in Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic. You may find missing icons using Ghost-Flat icon theme, we can't do anything now for this issue.
