There is no doubt that Elementary OS has nice looking icons but Elementary-Add icon suite goes beyond the default one and looks much better. It contains icons from different icon themes Elementary OS default icons, Numix Circle and Elementary-Plus, the idea behind is to make more elegant and complete icon theme which can be used by any Linux user, it contains more than 1000 icons for different applications and it is compatible with most of the desktop environments such as Unity, Gnome, Cinnamon, Mate, Pantheon and others. There is an official PPA from creator of this pack but only offers package for 16.04 and 14.04, so we added this icon theme to our PPA and made it available for all current Ubuntu versions and derivatives. Since this icon theme is in active development, if you encounter any missing icon then directly report it creator via Github page. Arc theme suite used in the following screenshots and you can use Unity Tweak ToolGnome-tweak-tool to change themes/icons.

Elementary icon set is default in Elementary OS, it is provided by Danrabbit. Elementary icons offers over 7,500+ icons for Linux desktop. This icon set is well polished and looks really nice with all kind of light and dark themes. There are two versions of Elementary one is "Elementary" it can be used with light themes, in Unity for better results these icons can be used with dark themes. Submit bug reports for this icon set here. Also checkout icons collection.
You can use Unity Tweak Tool, Gnome-tweak-tool or Ubuntu-Tweak to change themes/icons.

eOS theme is designed by 0rax0 developer on deviantart but he released last version for Gnome Shell 3.6, Then zagortenay333 continue to work on this theme and made it compatible with Gnome Shell 3.8. Actually developer didn't stop his work but he looking for someone support, he mentioned that it's next version will be for Gnome Shell 3.10.  Basically eOS theme gives taste of Elementary desktop. Developer ported a lot of features from DanRabbit's mockups and actual eOS parts, like: Plank, Pantheon Shell, Wing Panel. Also developer aim is to make most accurate elementary theme.

Cassidy James has announced the release of elementary OS 0.2 (code name "Luna"), a single-CD Ubuntu-based distribution featuring a traditional desktop layout, a simplified file manager and the Midori web browser: "Typically a release article is focused on a few key points of a new product. Install Elementaryish GTK theme on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring/Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal/Ubuntu 12.04 Precise/Linux Mint 14/13 (GTK)

Eelementaryish theme is GTK theme, It is specially designed to use with Gnome Classic and Unity. It looks like Mac theme. This theme comes with two versions - with dark panels and menus (elementary-dkpanel), and with light panels and menus (elementaryish). Elementaryish theme works with Unity and with Gnome Classic Session (gnome-fallback). This theme is based on Greybird theme and inspired by Elementary theme. This theme was designed to use with AppMenu (Global menu), of course you can use it with standard menubar, but it looks best with Appmenu.

Elementary Sky Blue icons specially designed for Elementary OS, these icons are based on Ubuntu style and OSX-Nostalgie. These icons are available in three versions: Sky-Blue-Unity is designed for Unity desktop, Sky-Blue-Gnome is designed for Gnome/Gnome Shell desktop, and Sky-Blue-Cinnamon is designed for Cinnamon desktop environment.
